Welcome to The Woodstock Bookshop. The shop was opened in May 2008 and is on the main road - Oxford Street - in Woodstock, just next to the bus stop. We can supply most books to order within twenty-four hours and have several thousand books in stock. We have a large selection of children's books and are happy to advise and recommend. We also supply foreign language books, DVDs, CDs and talking books and can provide second-hand and out-of-print titles. We offer discounts for school orders and for book clubs.

BOOKSHOP TALKS

We are holding a series of informal talks and readings between now and Christmas. All talks are free, with a glass of wine or juice, and start at the shop at 7.30 pm. There is limited space but with a bit of reorganisation (converting the paperback fiction table into a bar and moving all the children's picture flats in their revolving bookcase) I can fit in 20 chairs. The earlier you arrive the more chance there is of a seat! Latecomers will have to stand...
I would like to keep the audiences small so that we can continue to meet in the shop but if the talks prove very popular we may have to find an alternative venue nearby.

Will Hutton at the Woodstock Bookshop

The most recent author event took place on Saturday when Will Hutton gave a fascinating talk about China. Signed copies of his latest book are still available in the bookshop.
